Working principle of smoke exhaust fire damper

Fire damper-principle:

Installed in the air duct system of central air conditioning, its working principle is to close the valve by the action of gravity and spring mechanism based on the temperature control of fusible alloy. When a fire breaks out, the flame invades the air duct, and the high temperature melts the fusible alloy on the valve, or makes the memory alloy deform to make the valve automatically close, which is used in the situation where the air duct runs through the fire zone.


1. Fire damper-classification:

Fire valves and fire control valves, normally open and closed at 70 degrees, are generally installed at the place where the air duct passes through the firewall, which plays the role of fire shut-off, and can be set with output electrical signals. When the smoke exceeds 70 degrees, the valves are closed and the chain blower (makeup blower) is closed.


2. Smoke-proof and fire-proof regulating valve, normally open and closed at 70 degrees, is the same, but it can be remotely controlled and closed by the fire control room with one more electric signal input. It is generally used in the common air duct system for air supply and fire air supply, and can be controlled to close the room that does not need air supply in case of fire;


3. Fire damper, which is fused and closed at 280 degrees, is normally open, and outputs electrical signals. This is similar to 1, but the fusing temperature is different. It is generally used at the place where the fire smoke exhaust pipe passes through the firewall. When the smoke temperature exceeds 280 degrees, it will automatically fuse and close, and the smoke exhaust fan can be shut down in chain.
